Farmer protests are critical, but if regular citizens don’t join these protests, nothing of significance can happen. Farmers cannot do this alone, nor should they have to. They aren’t fighting solely for their own freedoms and interests; they are fighting for the rest of us.

Protests are working. The Dutch farmers made gains in the election on Wednesday and are the largest party in the Senate. To sustain the momentum does require regular citizens to not only pay attention, but to communicate their support. That is why censorship is so dangerous.
