Good thing you published this letter, as I doubt your representative can read above a third-grade level. Look at the middle school principal who thought a fire alarm was a door pull.

I got this form letter today:

Dear Mr. Powers,

Your opinion is important, and I appreciate you contacting me about this issue.

The opinions of my constituents are very important. It is my responsibility in our Constitutional system to represent you. Your input on national policy, the economy, and the state of the Federal Government enhances my ability to serve you in the United States House of Representatives. I will keep your sentiments in mind should any legislation related to this topic comes before the House.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to my office with any other issues or concerns. You can also stay updated on my work in Congress for Indiana’s 4th Congressional District online at baird.house.gov.

Sincerely,

Jim Baird

I've had the misfortune of living in this representative's district since 2017. I've been ambivalent about him - I'm far more interested in getting rid of our hideous governor. But his slobbering support for Ukraine turned the tide. No way I vote for him now. Sadly, he will likely stay in place until he dies. Such is our system these days.

Amen to that. Made me sick to see him there. I'm sure they rewarded him for the lockdowns and masks.

don't know this guy. but this letter could be written to any of about 200 GOP reps. just look at spending for the last 30-40 years. creep up, gradual slide into collapse. every generation of pol thinks they are entitled to spend as they see fit and act like they have no restraint because of past congresses. slowly surely the frog is boiling. conservatives have been a total failure on spending for a long time. we are being con'ed.

He's definitely cut from the same cloth of con.

I wrote similarly to Todd Young (Sen Indiana) in 2021 right after Afghanistan & Debt ceil crossed 30 trillion.

In 2001, it was 6 trillion & that was too F-ing high!

Once Debt > GDP no country, its over.

Print us to Zimbabwe. You watch.

Martial Law.

Let the games begin. Fight Or we end in a whimper.
