The Democrats are providing the biggest move on trust. Even though the overall population in 2016 had the same overall consensus, notice back 7 years ago the mixture across political lines. Democrats FELL for the PROPAGANDA - that is obvious - from 2016 to 2022. As the consolidation of Mass Media Narratives came about in 2016, Republicans were obviously turned off immediately from 2017 onward.
Although Republicans too are hustled towards thinking a certain way about the country, that group is more varied than most of the mass media notes. (The old neoconservative wing has not yielded at the very top. And whenever war or conflict arises, like at present, they will move in to propagandize and indoctrinate those not familiar with their stances. Think Ben Shapiro or Mark Levin or someone of that ilk.)
The no trust at all camp has grown. That is good. It should be at least double the 39% it is. (By that I mean, I would have more faith in the American public if they, at this critical and crucial juncture in history, were so aligned to the despicable nature of the billionaire-owned media as shown below.
